Terms

In effect from 10-30-26

These are the terms for using KTarot (https://tarot.kacklingkoven.com), run by Dean Kusler (“we”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. They’re written to be read; if anything is unclear, ask.

Reflection, not advice

Tarot readings, including the AI-written interpretations, are for entertainment and reflection. They don’t predict the future and they aren’t medical, legal, financial, psychological or any other professional advice. Don’t make important decisions on the strength of a reading, and see a qualified professional for anything that matters to your health, money or safety. AI interpretations are written by a machine and can be wrong or odd.

An early version

KTarot is in closed alpha: open by invitation, still being built, and provided as is. Features may change, break or go away, and the app may be unavailable at times. We intend to keep what you write, but we can’t promise the service will run without interruption or that nothing will ever be lost.

Your account

  • Give a real email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password to yourself.
  • You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 13.

Stars

Stars are the app’s virtual currency, spent on AI interpretations. They have no cash value: they can’t be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money, and they aren’t refunded when an account closes. We may change what things cost, and we may correct a balance that is wrong because of a bug or misuse.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • break, overload, or get around the limits or security of the service;
  • use someone else’s account, or share an invite code you were asked to keep to yourself;
  • scrape the app, or use it to build a competing product;
  • use the AI reader to produce anything unlawful or harmful.

What’s yours

What you write stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run the app for you, as the privacy page describes. The app itself, its design and its text are ours; deck artwork is used under its own licence.

Ending things

You can stop using KTarot at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing oracle@kacklingkoven.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may end the alpha or the service; if we do, we’ll give notice where we can so you can ask for a copy of your data.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything you decide on the strength of a reading, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim (during the alpha, nothing). Nothing here limits rights you have that the law says can’t be limited.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect; using the app afterwards means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of TX, United States.
